Al dar la información, el rector de la UASD, Roberto Reyna, indicó que los profesores Luis Manuel Pérez Guzmán, del Liceo Experimental “Amelia Ricart Calventi, acusado por acoso sexual y Guillermo Mateo Montero, de la Escuela de Estadística, por irresponsabilidades en la entrega de notas, fueron el primero expulsado definitivamente y el segundo suspendido por 4 semestre.
En cuanto a los bachilleres sancionados, Reyna citó la expulsión definitiva del estudiante Miguel Angel Ortiz De León, matrícula BC-3533, por haberse comprobado que intentó vender certificados falsos del Programa de Orientación y Matriculación Académica (POMA) y portar en su mochila un arma de fuego de fabricación casera.
También fue suspendido por dos semestres el bachiller Pedro Pablo García (John), presidente de la Federación de Estudiantes Dominicanos (FED); y Miguel Feliz (Pellerano), Carlos Rijo (Samaná) y Henry Manuel Camacho, por un semestre cada uno.
Reyna aseveró que en la institución no habrá contemplaciones con todos aquellos que no cumplan con las normas internas, al tiempo de informar que el Consejo condenó la violencia ejercida principalmente en el caso del 19 de abril pasado en el campus universitario.
“El hecho de que algunos estudiantes, incluyendo dirigentes estudiantiles exhibieran e hicieran uso de armas de fuego dentro del campus, saliendo herido uno de ellos, resulta condenable, así como el incendio del vehículo de la federación de estudiantes”, expresó.
Reyna manifestó que el Consejo también condenó el secuestro de vehículos de la OMSA en el entendido de que la universidad no puede permitir ni tolerar el ejercicio justo de la protesta cuando se reclama un derecho, pueda hacerse sobre la base de violar la ley y los derechos de los demás.
